WOLF BRANCH STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION BANK SITE
23,000 Linear Feet | Overton County, TN | Currently Under Construction
Restoration efforts within the Wolf Branch watershed are supporting recovery through targeted ecological improvements. By applying natural channel design and removing impoundments, the project is re-establishing perennial and intermittent streams while enhancing ephemeral waterways. Re-establishment includes construction of grade control structures in the form of riffles, vanes and habitat features such as toe-wood. Enhancement of ephemeral streams also include spot treatments for bank and gully stabilization, minor meander bend adjustments, and grade control structures to control head cutting. One large pond dam is being removed as part of the restoration plan as well.
