LITTLE TRAMMEL STREAM MITIGATION BANK SITE
26,250 Linear Feet | Sumner County, TN | Construction Completed in 2023
A natural channel design approach was used to re-establish streams at the watershed scale, in both perennial and intermittent streams. The re-establishment strategy includes the placement of grade control structures, such as riffles and cross vanes. Habitat features such as toe woods and root wads were also implemented. Enhancement of ephemeral streams includes handwork for bank stabilization, minor meander bend adjustments, and grade control structures to control headcutting.
