Alex Gerard

GIS Technician

Alex has a background in geography and environmental science and is the newest addition to the GIS dept. While studying GIS graduate school, Alex’s projects mainly consisted of using GIS in sustainability focused projects such as measuring forest loss in Mexico. Alex is originally from Virginia, in early 2024 Alex moved to Lexington to work at BCH. Alex’s responsibilities at BCH include producing map packages, updating field maps, and assisting the team in the field. Alex’s interests include GIS, drones, and LiDAR technology.
